Thank you for visiting North Shore Vintage Love (“North Shore Vintage Love,” "NSVL", “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using northshorevintagelove.com and related services (collectively, the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service(the “Terms”).

1) Who We Are

North Shore Vintage Love is a sole proprietorship doing business as “North Shore Vintage Love” in the State of New York. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the sole proprietorship that operates the Site and sells the products described here.

2) Eligibility & Your Account

You must be 18+ to purchase. You agree to provide accurate information at checkout and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3) Products, Condition & Brands

  • Items are pre-owned/vintage unless stated otherwise and may show signs of wear. We photograph and describe items carefully; color/appearance may vary by screen.
  • We are not affiliated with the brands we sell. Brand owners do not authenticate or guarantee items sold by North Shore Vintage Love.

4) Authentication

Every piece is authenticated by North Shore Vintage Love using Entrupy® prior to sale. See our Return & Refund Policy for the limited Authenticity Guarantee exception and how to submit a claim.

5) Pricing, Taxes & Payment

  • Prices are in USD. Sales tax is collected where required by law.
  • Payment is due at purchase using the methods offered at checkout (e.g., major cards; some customers may see installment options offered by third-party providers—those are governed by the provider’s terms).
  • We may refuse or cancel orders, limit quantities, and request additional verification if fraud, abuse, or error is suspected; if payment was captured for a canceled order, we will promptly refund it.

6) Shipping (U.S. Only)

  • Processing time: 3 business days (Mon–Fri, excluding holidays).
  • Service & rate: Domestic U.S. shipping only via UPS standard ground.
  • Tracking: You’ll receive tracking by email when your order ships. Delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays or weather.
  • High-value security: Orders ship insured and require a signature on delivery.
  • Address accuracy: Please confirm your address at checkout. We aren’t responsible for delays, loss, or returns caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.

7) Risk of Loss; Delivery Confirmation (FOB Origin)

Title and risk of loss transfer to you when the carrier (e.g., UPS/USPS) records the first acceptance scan of your shipment at our origin location. From that moment, any loss, theft, or damage in transit is your responsibility. Where a signature is required/collected, carrier records will control delivery status and timing. If you cannot locate a package after the carrier shows “Accepted” or “In Transit,” contact the carrier first and then email us so we can assist you with the claim process (as described below).

8) Transit Damage or Loss (Claims Process)

Orders ship insured and require a signature on delivery. Insurance and signature are provided as additional protection but do not alter the risk-of-loss transfer in Section 7.

If your parcel appears lost or arrives damaged, email customerservice@northshorevintagelove.com within 48 hours of the carrier scan indicating delivery or attempted delivery and include:

  • Photos of the outer box, shipping label, inner packaging, and the item (if applicable)
  • Your order number and any carrier case number

You must retain all packaging until the claim is resolved. We may (at our discretion) assist you and, as your agent, submit documentation to the carrier or insurer. Refunds, replacements, or store credit are not owed unless and until the carrier/insurer approves and funds the claim. If a claim is approved, we will either remit the claim proceeds to you or provide a replacement/credit of equivalent value (at our discretion). If a claim is denied, we have no further obligation.

Address accuracy: Please verify your shipping address at checkout. We aren’t responsible for delays, loss, or returns caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses. If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable/refused, we can reship it (additional postage applies). No refunds are issued for refused or unclaimed packages.

9) Returns, Refunds & Claims

  • All sales are final. No returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order is placed.
  • Authenticity Guarantee (exception): If you believe an item is not authentic, email customerservice@northshorevintagelove.com within 3 calendar days of delivery with your order number, clear photos, and a written assessment from a recognized independent authenticator (e.g., Real Authentication (RA), ProAuthenticate, or equivalent). If confirmed not authentic, we will issue a full refund, including original shipping; the item must be returned in the same condition with all tags/accessories/paperwork.
  • Transit damage: Email customerservice@northshorevintagelove.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the outer box, label, inner packing, and item; retain all packaging. We’ll assist with the insurance claim. Late or incomplete claims may be denied by the carrier/insurer.
  • Undeliverable/refused: If returned to us as undeliverable/refused, we can reship (additional postage applies). No refunds for unclaimed/refused packages.
  • Sourcing & special orders: Non-refundable and final sale once confirmed.

10) Promotions, Gift Cards & Errors

Promotions/coupons cannot be combined unless stated and may be subject to additional terms. We may cancel or correct any order affected by a pricing, inventory, or description error with a prompt refund if charged.

11) User Content (e.g., Reviews)

If you post reviews or submit photos/feedback, you grant North Shore Vintage Love a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display that content (edited for clarity without changing meaning) in connection with the Site and our marketing, using first name + last initial and general location (e.g., “Alex C., Glen Cove, NY”).

12) Intellectual Property

All Site content (text, photos, graphics, logos) is owned by or licensed to North Shore Vintage Love and protected by law. You may not copy, distribute, or make derivative works without our prior written consent.

13) Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) misuse the Site; (b) interfere with security or access controls; (c) scrape or data-mine; (d) submit unlawful, infringing, or misleading content; or (e) attempt to purchase for resale where prohibited.

14) Third-Party Services

The Site may link to third-party websites/services (including payment processors). Those are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for third-party sites or services.

15) Electronic Communications & Marketing

By purchasing or contacting us, you consent to receive transactional emails (e.g., order updates). If you opt in to marketing emails/SMS, you can unsubscribe or reply STOP at any time. Message/data rates may apply.

16) Disclaimers

The Site and items are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and accuracy.

17) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Shore Vintage Love and our owners/employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to North Shore Vintage Love for the order giving rise to the claim.

18) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold North Shore Vintage Love harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

19) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflicts principles. Except as provided in the arbitration section below, the state and federal courts located in Nassau County, New York have exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute that is not required to be arbitrated or filed in small-claims court.

20) Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

A. Informal Resolution. Before filing any claim, you agree to email us at support@northshorevintagelove.com with your name, order number, and a brief description of the issue so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.

B. Binding Arbitration (AAA Consumer Rules). Except for the matters in Section D below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to your purchase or use of the Site or these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The arbitrator will have the authority to grant all remedies available in court (including monetary, declaratory, or injunctive relief) on an individual basis. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

C. Location; Format; Fees. The default seat/venue is Nassau County, New York, but the arbitration may be conducted by video or phone if you prefer or if the arbitrator permits. AAA Consumer Rules govern filing fees and costs; typically, consumers pay only a limited filing fee and we pay the remainder as required by those rules. Each party pays its own attorneys’ fees unless the arbitrator awards fees under applicable law.

D. Small-Claims Court Option. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small-claims court (rather than arbitration) in the county where you live or in Nassau County, New York.

E. Class-Action Waiver. YOU AND NORTH SHORE VINTAGE LOVE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of class or representative proceeding. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable, this entire Section (Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver) will be void, and the dispute will proceed in court.

F. Jury-Trial Waiver. YOU AND NORTH SHORE VINTAGE LOVE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

G. Opt-Out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@northshorevintagelove.com with subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your name and order number within 30 days of your first purchase after this clause takes effect. Opting out will not affect other terms.

H. Governing Law. New York law governs this section and the Terms (without regard to conflicts of laws), except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration agreement.

21) Notices

Primary method: Email. Legal notices to North Shore Vintage Love must be sent to support@northshorevintagelove.com. We will send notices to you at the email and/or shipping address you provide at checkout. You are responsible for keeping that information current. Electronic communications satisfy any requirement that a communication be in writing.

Postal address: A mailing address for formal service is available upon request and will be provided to a requesting party for legitimate legal purposes.

22) Other Policies Incorporated by Reference

Your purchase and use of the Site are also governed by our Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to those policies, including all-sales-final, the Authenticity Guarantee exception (Entrupy/RA), U.S. only shipping, and signature + insurance for orders.

23) Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, weather, fire, flood, labor unrest, utility outages, carrier delays, wars, terrorism, governmental actions, pandemics/epidemics, or network/platform interruptions.

24) Severability; Waiver; Assignment; Survival

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign our rights in connection with a reorganization or sale of the business. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including limitations of liability, indemnity, IP ownership, and dispute resolution) will survive.

25) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
